Results were driven by new solutions with UPS IoT and a new manufacturing strategy.

THE Engetron[Company Name], a leading Brazilian manufacturer of IoT UPS systems, celebrates the solid results achieved in 2023, with business expansion and the launch of new solutions. With over 46 years of history, the company consolidates its position as the largest national manufacturer of IoT UPS systems and a benchmark in reliability and energy continuity in the market, not only for the quality of its products, but also for the strategic investments made.

“2023 was a very important year for Engetron, the first brand in the world to incorporate IoT technology into its entire UPS portfolio, with very positive results. We are making several investments, ranging from Research and Development of new solutions to a new production line in our factory and the opening of a branch, to bring even more innovation to the market. We have optimistic prospects for 2024, with even more growth in our operations,” says Aluízio Ábdom, commercial and marketing director of Engetron. According to the executive, new developments can be expected in 2024. “We will expand our distribution capacity and add new products and services to the portfolio, reinforcing our commitment to modernizing the technology infrastructure of our clients.”

Among the highlights of 2023 is the launch of DWTTA5-PLUGIN, A rack that offers a modular, plug-in, three-phase IoT UPS with high power density, availability, and efficiency. DWTTA5-PLUGIN It was developed with state-of-the-art power availability technology. With a hot-swap plug-in design, the rack allows for the removal or replacement of components without interrupting the power system’s operation. Furthermore, it enables various configurations with IoT UPS modules and batteries. Its innovation allows for easy scalability of total capacity and system redundancy, preserving the customer’s initial investment.

The year also marks the consolidation of the single-phase and three-phase IoT UPS lines. DWMMA4 and DWTTA5. Modularity is one of the main pillars of these IoT UPS systems, with high energy density capable of meeting the demands of sensitive equipment in critical spaces. Equipped with three-level and double-conversion technology, as well as state-of-the-art processors, these IoT UPS systems guarantee an uninterrupted and reliable power source. Furthermore, they feature comprehensive monitoring of all circuits, ensuring a rapid response to any anomaly and guaranteeing system integrity.

Engetron’s IoT UPS lines are integrated with exclusive technology. IoT EngetronThis allows for real-time monitoring, as well as facilitating accurate diagnoses and remote interventions on equipment. The technology also underwent investments in 2023 and is now even more versatile. The solution is now available in a web version, in addition to the usual app, to facilitate monitoring of devices from clients’ monitoring centers.

Another new development for the year is the start of distribution and sale of batteries in a new business line. Engetron has always sold these items as part of the solutions it markets, and now it also makes batteries available for separate purchase.

Investments in the factory and operations

In recent years, Engetron has made a significant change in its production strategy and invested in its manufacturing plant, located in Contagem (MG), which currently has a total area of 14,000 square meters and a built area of 6,000 square meters. The company implemented a new complete, independent, and fully automated printed circuit board (PCB) production and assembly line. This line has contributed significantly to the speed and quality of product manufacturing and after-sales service. Today, almost all of Engetron’s production is carried out internally, and the factory has already registered a 25% increase in productivity.

Based on this strategy, Engetron has robustly consolidated its operational autonomy. This direction has resulted not only in a remarkable expansion of productivity, but also in a reduction in delivery time, culminating in the offering of products and services to the market with greater agility and efficiency. Furthermore, the capacity to support and supply spare parts to the market is being expanded.

The company is also investing in a new branch in the city of São Paulo, which represents a strategic step to further strengthen its business in the country. From São Paulo, the company is closer to its clients, who will have greater access to Engetron’s engineering team for project development.

“We are firmly prepared to anticipate market dynamics. Our dedication also translates into the constant hiring of specialists, which should continue in 2024, to maintain a team of excellence. The investments we are making lead us to a future full of innovation and sustainable growth,” says the executive.
