The DWTT-IP42 line ensures efficiency, availability, stability, and reliability in supply.

energy for industrial sector operations

THE EngetronEngetron, a leading Brazilian manufacturer of IoT UPS systems, announces the launch of the DWTT-IP42 line, developed with a high degree of protection (IP42) and IoT integration for advanced management and monitoring, essential for industrial environments. The launch will take place during the National Automation Meeting – ENA 24, which will be held on October 9th and 10th at Expominas, in Belo Horizonte (MG). In addition to the launch, the DWTTA5-PLUGIN rack will be presented to visitors at the Engetron booth (space 35).

“As automation and process digitization expand, industries are increasingly operating with high-precision machinery that is sensitive to power fluctuations, especially in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, mining, and petrochemicals,” says Aluízio Ábdom, commercial and marketing director at Engetron. According to the executive, these segments require power systems that guarantee continuity of operations even in adverse power grid conditions and that are resistant to contact with dust and water. Therefore, Engetron has intensified its focus on developing technologies that ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical operations. “Our new DWTT-IP42 UPS line was designed to meet these challenges, guaranteeing high energy density, availability, efficiency, and broad levels of safety and stability in the industrial environment,” he says.

The IP42 protection rating of the product prevents the entry of objects larger than 1 mm in diameter, such as wires or small instruments. In addition, the protection provides water resistance, acting against dripping from up to a 15° angle. These features prevent the internal components of the UPS from being impacted by dirt, water, and other debris, which are commonly present in industrial settings and can cause damage to operations.

The new DWTT-IP42 UPS line is integrated with Engetron’s exclusive IoT technology, which allows real-time monitoring of the UPS operation via web or app, facilitating precise diagnostics and remote interventions on the equipment. This management is crucial in manufacturing plants where uninterrupted monitoring of these devices is necessary to prevent unscheduled shutdowns and other incidents.

The DWTT-IP42 UPS is modular, therefore it can be made available in various configurations (single-phase and three-phase) for applications from 6kVA to 160kVA. Furthermore, with a power factor of 0.99, the line allows for reduced operating costs by preventing electricity waste, as virtually all energy is converted into useful work, making operations more sustainable.

It supports voltages of 220/127V and 380/220V without the need for an additional transformer. For other voltage requirements, Engetron provides a solution with a compatible transformer. The new line ensures versatility and flexibility for implementation in different industrial contexts. It has various connectivity interfaces such as serial (RS-232), Ethernet (Modbus, SNMP and WEB), Wi-Fi or mobile network. The product is delivered to customers with maintenance accessories, a maintenance bypass switch, such as input and output circuit breakers. These elements guarantee safe operation without interrupting the UPS’s functioning. In addition, batteries are available, which can be VRLA, Lithium or Alkaline.

Another product that Engetron will be showcasing at the event is the DWTT-A5 PLUGIN, a three-phase modular plug-in rack with an IoT UPS that also caters to industrial environments and can be adapted to include additional protection such as IP42 or other ratings. Through hot-swap technology, the rack allows for module replacements or upgrades without system interruption, ensuring scalability and redundancy. With a power factor of 1.0, the rack offers full active power, available in 60kW or 160kW configurations, and high energy efficiency, reaching up to 98% in eco mode. Ideal for industries requiring electrical stability and continuous monitoring, the DWTT-A5 PLUGIN features an interactive interface via touchscreen display, providing easy management and real-time control of the power system.

“We are very excited to participate in ENA 24, bringing modern solutions to drive innovation in the industrial sector. With superior levels of safety, our technologies are programmed to meet the growing demands for robust solutions in the industry,” he says.

Engetron specialists will be present at the company’s booth at ENA 2024 to provide visitors with more details about the launch and all the innovations, as well as about the services and ways to market and contract the solutions.
